Encorus Group is looking for a Nondestructive Examination (NDE) Inspector to join our West Seneca, NY, or Rochester, NY, office. In this role, you will perform hands-on nondestructive testing and inspection at customer facilities and construction sites throughout the region. This is a field-focused position for someone who enjoys solving problems in the field and seeing the results of their work firsthand.
You will perform a variety of structural steel, welding, and nondestructive testing inspections while working directly with clients, contractors, and project teams. The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in accurate, quality work, is comfortable working independently in the field, and enjoys the variety that comes with working at different job sites and in different environments.

You will perform a variety of structural steel, welding, and nondestructive testing inspections while working directly with clients, contractors, and project teams. Responsibilities:
- Conduct nondestructive examinations in accordance with established procedures, including Visual Testing (VT), Liquid Penetrant (PT), Magnetic Particle (MT), Radiography (RT), and Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
- Interpret customer specifications, applicable codes, and technical construction drawings to ensure examinations meet required acceptance criteria.
- Set up and operate NDE equipment and accurately document examination variables, inspection results, and required calculations.
- Prepare inspection reports and maintain accurate inspection records and documentation.
- Communicate directly with customers, contractors, supervisors, and project teams regarding inspection activities, schedules, findings, and results.
- Inspect facilities and materials storage areas as assigned to verify compliance with applicable requirements.
- Use field air monitoring equipment to test atmospheric conditions at construction and maintenance sites and, as needed, calibrate equipment and interpret results.
- Perform confined space entry into equipment, such as storage tanks and pressure vessels, when required for testing or inspection.
- Follow company safety policies and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Support the NDE group and other divisions within the company as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in nondestructive testing.
- Current Level II certification in at least one of the following NDE methods: RT, PT, MT, or VT. CWI certification is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Working knowledge of NDE procedures, technical methods, and safety practices related to field inspection and testing.
- Ability to accurately document inspection results and perform calculations related to NDE examinations.
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle for field testing and inspections.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly to customer project sites throughout the region.
- Comfortable working in industrial and construction environments and wearing required PPE, including hard hat, safety-toe boots, and safety glasses.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
