In this senior role, you will lead and oversee projects involving mass balance analysis, the development and revision of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs), piping and equipment design calculations, and compliance with industry codes and regulations. Your deep technical knowledge will be essential in guiding projects from concept to completion.

Responsibilities:
- Define project requirements, delegate tasks to staff, and oversee projects through to completion, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of deliverables.
- Serve as a project manager, handling correspondence, estimates, schedules, material lists, design considerations, and drawings.
- Review and redline existing drawings, maintain project documentation, and coordinate project files.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external professionals, including architects and engineers, to ensure seamless design integration.
- Independently manage projects of moderate size and complexity while supporting senior engineers on larger, more intricate assignments.
- Assist project managers with correspondence, estimates, schedules, material lists, design concepts, calculations, and documentation, ensuring compliance with customer, corporate, and industry standards.
- Apply industry best practices and company standards to oversee the development of calculations, project drawings, and specifications.
- Mentor and guide entry-level engineers, providing technical development, progress reviews, and coaching.
- Coordinate with internal and external partners—including cross-discipline teams, construction teams, vendors, fabricators, and clients—to address electrical-related challenges.
- Execute advanced engineering tasks that require creativity and critical thinking, solving unique electrical challenges that may have limited or no direct code guidance.
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or a closely related field
- 20+ years of chemical engineering and design experience, with a preference for consulting experience.
- Professional Engineer registration is preferred
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Visual, or similar analytical software.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to comply with company drug screening, including pre-employment tests.
- A valid driver's license, along with the ability to travel locally and occasionally out of state.
